Electro Swing: Where the F@#! have you been hiding?

I recently stumbled upon a playlist you may have already seen in the sidebar by Internet DJ ‘gugget’ that introduced me to this new style of music called ‘electro-swing’. I am now subsequently in love with electro-swing, it takes Swing… a classic, arguably timeless, genre and fuses it with electronica and house styles along with various mixing techniques. While at first that may sound like a bit of a stretch, it works surprisingly well. And since they are both incredibly dancable genre’s the mixture of them only adds to this groove that makes you want to get up out of your seat and just bust a move (forgive my 80’s/90’s slang there, this genre has my brain all generationally confused).
